College & Career Guidance

The college preparatory, honors level curriculum at HeritageSchool has launched 61 graduates in eight classes on to competitive colleges, universities, and service academies throughout Texas and across the U.S.
 

Heritage School provides:

·         personal counseling
·         SAT, ACT, AP, CLEP strategy and registration
      training

·         training in college search & application procedures
·         group/personal coaching in resume and essay 
      writing

·         generous faculty recommendation letters
·         clearing house file & counseling on local scholarship
      opportunities


These services and encouragement position Heritage seniors to find good college matches, gain acceptance and win substantial merit scholarships. The eleven 2009 graduates received no rejection letters and were awarded an average of $32,000 in merit scholarships from private institutions.

Alumni report smooth academic transitions as college freshman. They credit readiness in study skills, subject content, mental stamina and mature priorities for their successes.
